Douglas II & Ruby II
Thanks to the Huge Generosity of the Folks at Yorkhill Childrens Foundation, we have just purchased two brand new BMW R1200RT's in police spec. The Two new bikes called Ruby 2 and Douglas 2 will transport urgent and emergency medical items all over mainland Scotland.
The two new bikes are marked in the New style Reflective being used by the Police and Ambulance service on there BMW Bikes, this helps members of the public recognise that ts an emergency vehicle. Both Bikes have been put to work right away, and are clocking up the miles. This brings our Fleet to a Total of 10 fully marked emergency Vehicles ! Ready to support NHS Scotland 24/7 365 days a year.

Yorkhill Childrens Foundation Help ScotsERVS
Yorkhill Children's Foundation has kindly donated a brand new four wheel drive car to the Scottish Emergency Rider Volunteer Service (ScotsERVS) The Donation of the new vehicle (a Skoda Scout 2.0 4x4) will help ensure that the volunteers of the emergency rider service, who work in collaboration with the NHS, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, can switch from there emergency motorcycles to 4x4 vehicles in poor weather or snow, helping them deliver vital medical items all over Scotland. This includes a service to Yorkhill's Donor Breast Milk bank, the only milk bank in Scotland. The volunteer riders and drivers save the NHS thousands if not millions of pounds a year in expensive taxi and courier costs. In October of this year the riders clock up around 3000 miles just in one month and the new car will help with the extra demands being put on the volunteer service.

Fire Station Open Day - Paisley
ScotsERVS were delighted to be invited to take part recently in the Community Open Day at Paisley Fire Station on Saturday 8th September. Thanks to Station Commander Kevin Allan and the rest of the watch for inviting us along and making us feel so welcome. There was certainly plenty to keep all the family entertained - including getting up close and personal with all the vehicle and equipment displays of both current and vintage fire appliances, fire safety demonstrations and giveaways, raffles, games and shows - there was even a dancing mascot (or two!) from our very own Rescue Dog and the Fire Service's Blaze Bear!
We're glad so many people enjoyed having a chat, sitting on the bike, snapping pictures and generally learning a bit more about the support we already provide the NHS... thanks to your support on the day we raised £196.53 !
THANK YOU !

ScotsERVS @ Paisley Fire Festival
Head into Paisley town centre to see a fleet of vintage fire engines parading through the town.
The free event will see an impressive fleet of engines, dating from the 19th century to the present day, proceed through the town from the Fire Station in Canal Street to County Square. The parade will leave the fire station at 11am, progressing through Causeyside St and Gilmour St.
There will also be plenty of entertainment for adults and children throughout the day, including fire safety demonstrations and giveaways. It is hoped that there will also be an opportunity to see some of the impressive fire appliances used at Glasgow Airport.
